What is ‘Turistas en Español’?
The ‘Turistas en Español’ course is an intensive 15-day program where you will learn Spanish at our school and, at the same time, get to know Madrid and its surroundings with the help of our teachers and local guides.
This course has been carefully designed by Hablamos teachers to offer a unique experience. You’ll enjoy practical classes that will teach you everyday Spanish so that you’ll be confident when you travel to any Spanish-speaking country – no textbooks, homework, exams or long hours of grammar! Here we follow our unique method: 100% oral practice, total immersion and fun learning.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore Madrid and immerse yourself in its culture. You’ll enjoy guided tours of the city’s most important museums, flamenco workshops, tapas tastings and outdoor activities – you’ll experience the city like a real local. And every Friday, an excursion will take you to discover other Spanish gems, such as Toledo and Segovia, cities full of history and charm.
How and for whom is the course?
The course is designed to combine a tourist experience with learning Spanish. We form small groups, with a maximum of 10 people, to guarantee personalised attention inside and outside the classroom. It is ideal for adults, over 18, with a basic or intermediate level.
In the course you will have from Monday to Thursday, three hours of cultural activities guided by your teacher and three hours of conversational and practical Spanish classes. Fridays will be days of adventure outside Madrid, exploring the best of Spanish history and culture.
What does the course include?
- Classes with a native teacher in our school, located just a few steps from Atocha station, the nerve centre of Madrid, and less than 10 minutes by public transport from the city centre.
- Cultural activities and guided visits.
- Accommodation in Madrid during the fortnight of the course in a student apartment/residence with all the commodities, located in the heart of Gran Vía, Madrid’s main street, within walking distance of theatres, museums and shops.
- Entrance fees to all the museums and monuments we visit during the course in Madrid.
- Return journeys and entrance tickets to all the museums and monuments we visit on our excursions.
- Welcome lunch on the first day of the course and a special farewell activity to remember your ‘Turistas en Español’ course with Hablamos.
