Social and Cultural Activities at Hablamos
Hablamos organises cultural and social activities every week for our students in our intensive courses of 20 hours per week. These activities are very enjoyable and fun, and also very interesting: our students learn Spanish culture by visiting museums, places of interest, parts of Spanish culture that are essential for getting to know Spain. At the same time, our students continue learning vocabulary related to these activities and put it into practice.

Book Day – We visit La noche de los Libros in Las Letras and Sol
This week we celebrate Book Day, because of the many events that happened on that date. To celebrate it, in this cultural outing we will visit La noche de los libros, with a tour of the Las Letras neighbourhood.
The Barrio de las Letras is one of the most important areas for Spanish culture and literature. Great writers of the 17th century, such as Lope de Vega and Quevedo, lived there. Nowadays, these houses have been transformed into museums with exhibitions and works of art from the period. In this neighbourhood you will also find the Teatro Español, where classical plays and flamenco shows are performed. The area is also full of lively terraces of cafés and beer gardens, where you can have a drink after strolling through the historic streets of the neighbourhood.
Tip: you can continue your visit at the Puerta del Sol. There, from 9 p.m. onwards, you can enjoy the visual spectacle ‘Why do you write? Why do you read?’ and the Plaza de los Libros.
